We offer a 30-day return window from the date your order is delivered. Return eligibility and processing may vary depending on the item and fulfillment partner.
How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, please contact our customer support team at info@rootresidence.com within 30 days of delivery and include your order number. Our team will review your request and provide next steps based on the item and fulfillment source.
Return Eligibility

Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition, with original packaging when possible.

Certain items may be subject to manufacturer or fulfillment-partner return policies.

Final sale, clearance, custom, or made-to-order items are not eligible for return unless otherwise stated.
Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Return instructions and shipping labels (when applicable) will be provided after your request is reviewed.
Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected by the fulfillment partner, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Processing times may vary depending on the item and partner, but typically take 5–10 business days after approval.
Damaged or Defective Items
We take great care to ensure your items arrive in excellent condition.
For furniture and large items (freight or white glove delivery):
Please notify us within 5 days of delivery. To process a claim, we may require:
- Photos of the packaging (including before opening, if damage is visible)
- Photos of the damaged item
- A copy of the signed delivery receipt noting any damage
We strongly recommend inspecting all items at the time of delivery and noting any visible damage before signing.
For smaller items (standard delivery):
Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the item and packaging so we can assist you.
